Talking Bitcoin ticker Chrome extension?

Heck, just something that reads off the current price from Bitcoinwisdom or something. I can't imagine it'd be a hard implementation.
Does it exist?

I'm 30, totally noob on coding and I made a Bitcoin ticker extension for Google Chrome

Hello everyone,
I'm totally noob on developing but I'm an enthusiast and every now and them I write scripts to automate some tasks and I kinda like it.
One day I realized I could write a Bitcoin ticker extension for Google Chrome as it's pure Javascript. So, I started building it for my own use and I tried to keep easy to get the most useful information. Then I realized that I could release it so the community could try and why not?
After some hard time to publish it on the Chrome Store, I finally got my first extension released! It's been some weeks since the first release, so it has been updated with more exchanges and currencies.
Links are below. Although I expect feedback from the community, please don't expect a bug-free extension or instantly fixes, I use my free-time to do it and it's something like a hobby to me.
I hope the mods don't ban me as I already posted once about it >.<

WARNING: Don't use the "BTC-e Bitcoin (BTC) Live Ticker" extension from the Chrome Web Store, it hijacks BTC transactions from Coinbase (maybe more?)

Maybe this is old news to most of you, but I had the "BTC-e Bitcoin (BTC) Live Ticker" Chrome extension installed and it hijacked a Bitcoin transaction that I processed using Coinbase. I've already reported it for abuse with the Google Web Store and after talking with Coinbase support they say they've known about it for a week or so and have been reporting it, but Google has yet to take it down.
This is the extension to avoid: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/btc-e-bitcoin-btc-live-ti/afffimmlhiimncpbhfjjhlhgkpemepam/details
There are similar extensions for other cryptos, not sure if they are malicious or not but I'm avoiding those as well.

Tiny Tickers for Chrome (with USD support and price change alerts) [x-post from /r/bitcoin]

I've been posting about this here and there before, but since I got a major update out, I thought I could consolidate it as a new thread.
Background:
I was looking for a small ticker that would show LTC prices in BTC for Chrome, but there were none, so I built one. Then I followed with an equivalent for PPC (more on why separated extensions later) and eventually I figured it would be perfect if it had a notifications system built in so I could finally stop constantly looking at charts. At which point well, it made sense to make another one for BTC.
What:
Three Chrome extensions, for BTC, LTC and PPC, with the following features:
So without further ado:
Why:
I built them mainly for myself out of necessity, and because other tickers I tried IMHO sucked. I figured others could use it as well. It won't change the world, and it won't predict the next bubble, but it does the job for me at least.
FAQ
(Aka questions that nobody actually asked yet, but that I'm labeling as frequently asked questions anyway because that's what people do on the internets):
PERMISSIONS. Holy shit dude, your extension requests my data on btc-e, mtgox and vircurex. Are you insane? What are you, a troll from btc-e?
I tried to explain it a bit in the extension page but I'll give it a go here aswell. Chrome permission system is a bit strict: there's no granularity. In order for the extension to be able to fire a request to say https://data.mtgox.com/api/2/BTCUSD/money/ticker I have to request permission to mtgox.com. But even if the extension requests permission only to "https://data.mtgox.com/api/*" which would only give it access to the API, Chrome still labels it as "your data on mtgox.com". It's been discussed on the net multiple times before, here's a link to a recent article on it. I have yet to upload these extensions to Github, which I will, but in the meantime you can review the extact content of the extensions, with original code indentation and comments and all (it's not minified or obfuscated), by pulling it directly from the chrome web store as a zip file. Here's how to do it. I'm suggesting this just so anyone can already review the code today before it's up on Github, it's basically a very simple script in JS with no backend or external communication other than the exchanges and the extension.
Does the extension talk with a backend/server of yours?
Nope, no backends, just client code that runs on your pc and fetches data directly from the exchanges. See previous question.
Wait, why 3 extensions? Can you not, like, support any cryptocurrency within a single extension?
In Chrome each extension only gets one icon, hence, if you want to have one icon per cryptocurrency, you'll need one extension for each. This is the main reason why I chose to do one extension per currency.
Where do you get the data from?
Currently this is set as follows:
This can't be changed at the moment but I may add more data "providers" later on.
The tickers price lags a bit, isn't it being updated every second?
I'm inclined to believe exchange services, specially mtgox, are slow updating their APIs for some reason and lag a couple minutes or so. Either that or Chrome is ocasionally caching things, I'll look into it further but so far it hasn't been a tremendous problem, it's definitively not an issue for alerts/notifications.
Can you add SMS notifications?
Nope, this extension works within chrome and I'd need to setup a backend for it for starters. But if you have a smartphone there's almost guaranteed an app for this, so I'd encourage you to search for one.
Can you implement XYZ?
Sure, ask and if there's demand and I have the time I'll give it a go.
Can you build a Tiny Ticker for {insert cryptocurrency here}?
Sure, again, ask and if there's demand I'll make it happen.
I found a typo! You can't words!
Easy, I'm not a native english speaker :) feel free to report it if it's hurting your eyes, I'm not a big fan of typos myself either.
What color is your underwear?
Usually white, sometimes blue if I'm feeling enthusiastic.

I made a Bitcoin ticker extension for Google Chrome

Hello everyone,
I missed a simple way of checking the Bitcoin price when using my computer. I had to keep a tab open or to check on my mobile. One day I realized that I could develop a Chrome extension for that purpose and I did it. I'm using it for a couple of weeks and it seems to be working fine. So, I thought I could share with you and maybe make it easier to someone else too.
The Bitcoin price is live updated right in the extension icon, easy to see. It also changes the background if the price is going up or down (green and red). If you click the extension icon you'll see some options and more Bitcoin data (variation, ask price and bid price). About the options you may select one of three exchanges to get the updates from (Bitfinex, Bitstamp or Coinbase) and one of two currencies (USD or EUR).
Let me know which other exchanges and currencies I should add, I'll wait for some feedback. Although, I don't promise anything as I'm using my free time to develop it and I don't have much this time.
I could not publish this extension on Chrome Store, Google keeps saying that I have to follow the single purpose policy which I think I'm following! I tried to reply them for days but all I got was the same automated message. So annoying! Now, I'm trying to publish a light version just to have something on the store (and to make worth that $5 that I had to pay them).
Take a look at the screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/3dVFh
Download the full version: http://hodlercoasterguy.com/bitcointicke (Updates are going to be published in the same link, I intend to build a webpage for that soon)
To install open the Chrome Extensions page (chrome://extensions/) and drag & drop the downloaded file.
This extension requires "Read and change all your data on the websites you visit" permission because it needs to keep the connection to the exchange APIs opened no matter which tab you're viewing. Otherwise, it would only update the price in certain tabs and them it would lose its purpose.
WARNING: This extension is not bug-free and I use my free time to develop it, so report and keep calm. Maybe one day I fix it : )
Thanks!
EDIT 1: Light version is published on Chrome Store! https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bitcoin-ticker-light/dbedkflggnhnaioijclkefdpkbmhfcof
EDIT 2: Many updates happened on the lasts weeks, full version is published on Chrome Store and many more exchanges and currencies are supported. Please, check the links below:

Decentr ($DEC) - foundational cross-chain and cross-platform DeFi protocol

  1. SUMMARY
Decentr is a protocol designed to make blockchain/DLT mainstream by allowing DeFi applications built on various blockchains to “talk to each other”. Decentr is a 100% secure and decentralised Web 3.0 protocol where users can apply PDV (personal data value) to increase APR on $DEC that users loan out as part of of our DeFi dLoan features, as well as it being applied at PoS when paying for stuff online. Decentr is also building a BAT competitor browser and Chrome/Firefox extension that acts as a gateway to 100% decentralised Web 3.0
Allows DeFi Dapps to access all Decentr’s dFintech features, including dLoan, dPay. Key innovation is that the protocols is based on a user’s ability to leverage the value of their data as exchangeable “currency”.
  1. KEY CONCEPTS

  1. REVENUE MODEL
A fee is charged for every transaction using dPay whereby an exchange takes place between money (fiat and digital) and data, and vice versa, either as part of DeFi features or via a dApp built on Decentr. They are launching pilot programmes in the following industries:
  1. Banking/PSP Industry: On Product launch, due to Decentr’s powerful PSP connections (including the worlds #2 PSP by volume), a medium-scale pilot program will be launched, which will seed the network with 150,000 PSP customers in primarily the Spanish/LAC markets, generating revenue from day one.
  2. “Bricks and Mortar” Supermarket/Grocery Industry: Decentr aims to ensure the long-term competitiveness of “bricks and mortar” supermarkets against online-only grocery retailers, such as Amazon, by a) building secure tech that allows supermarkets to digitise every aspect of their supply chains and operational functions, while b) allowing supermarkets to leverage this incredibly valuable data as a liquid asset class. Expected revenue by Year 5: $114Mn per year.
  3. Online Advertising Industry: Decentr’s 100% decentralised platform credits users secure data with payable value, in the form of PDV, for engaging with ads. The Brave browser was launched in 2012 and in 8 years has reached over 12 million monthly active users, accented by as many as 4.3 million daily active users.
  4. TOKEN $DEC AND SALE
Decentr recently complete their token sale on a purchase portal powered by Dolomite where they raised $974,000 in 10 minutes for a total sale hardcap of 1.25M. The $DEC token is actively trading on multiple exchanges including Uniswap and IDEX. Listed for free on IDEX, Hotbit, Hoo, Coinw, Tidex, BKex. Listed on CoinGecko and Coinmarketcap. Listed on Delta and Blockfolio apps.

$DEC Token utility:
A tradeable unit of value that is both internal and external to the Decentr platform.A unit of conversion between fiat entering and exiting the Decentr ecosystem.A way to capture the value of user data and combines the activity of every participant of the platform performing payment (dPay), or lending and borrowing (dLend), i.e a way to peg PDV to tangible/actionable value.Method of payment in the Decentr ecosystem.A method to internally underwrite the “Deconomy.
